HONEY-CHOCOLATE CHEESE PUFFS

Easy recipe and yummy to eat. Be sure to cool completely before eating. Very hot centers! Because Pepperidge Farm may not use quality oils or sugars, we don’t recommend eating these every day, but they are great for a festive occasion.

Serving suggestion: Stack in a mound and drizzle chocolate syrup over them.

Please read entire recipe before starting.

Ingredients:

1 Sheet Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry, thawed, cut into three sections marked on dough by folds
1 package (8oz) cream cheese, organic (not low fat)
1/3 cup honey
Chocolate chips (optional) (Cloud Nine and Sunspire usually are non-white sugar)
Pecans, chopped (optional)
Dried Fruit, chopped (optional)
parchment paper or grease cookie sheet

How to:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

1. Roll out each section of dough until slightly larger than original shape.
2. Mix the cream cheese and honey.
3. Spread cheese mixture on dough leaving top edge free of cheese. These will be rolled in long, log shapes.
4. Add nuts, chips and/or fruit down the center of cheese.
5. Roll up into long logs.
6. Slice into 1 inch pieces.
7. Place upright, mixture showing on top, on a cookie sheet, which has been covered with parchment paper or greased. (Placing sideways will allow mixture to cook out.)
8. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees until lightly browned.
9. Cool completely before serving.
