FRUIT SMOOTHIES

Fruit smoothies are very easy to make using a blender or food processor.  You can use most anything as your base:  frozen or fresh bananas, yogurt, raw milk (goat or cow), ice cream, coconut milk (young coconut milk is fine), almond milk, etc.  Soy milk is not recommended.  Then add all the items you desire:  assorted fruit, nuts, coconut, flax seed, and more.  The decision is yours.  Here are some of our favorites:

BLUEBERRY BLASTER  (Lou's recipe)

In a blender/food processor add the following:

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 large frozen banana
several raw almonds
1 tsp. flax seeds
1 pitted date or 1/4 cup of raisins
1-2 rounded Tbls yogurt, best quality
1/2 cup raw milk or water (add more if too thick)

MANGO OR PEACH PASSION (Kathie's recipe)

In a blender/food processor add the following:

1/2 peach (skin on) or mango, frozen or fresh
1-2 rounded Tbls yogurt, best quality
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup raw milk, coconut milk or water (add more if too thick)

ABUNDANT AMBROSIA (Kathie's recipe)

In a blender/food processor add the following:

1 banana, frozen or fresh
Several fresh orange or tangerine wedges, peeled & seeded
Coconut, shredded (non-sweetened)
1 rounded Tbls yogurt, best quality
1/2 cup raw milk, coconut milk or water (add more if too thick)
Pecans, chopped for garnish on top

Additional fruit that may be added:  pineapple, pomegranate seeds, apples, berries (berries should be organic).
