EVENING CALMING TEA

This is a great tea for calming one down in the evening hours
"right before you go to bed." This is so relaxing that once I
hit the bed, I actually sleep soundly for 8-9 hours. I don't always plan
to sleep that long, but I do. I awaken with a lot of energy and ready to
tackle the day.
NOTE: I do not recommend the
licorice part of the tea for those who have high blood pressure. All of
my books caution this. You can leave it out if need be. Remember
to check all herbs you use for their benefits and cautions. Also, if
pregnant and/or nursing, this is a must!!!
HOW TO: (For one or more cups)
In your tea ball, Tea Ball, coffee/tea press, add the following
for each cup:
1 tsp dried hibiscus calyces
1/2 tsp dried licorice root pieces (known as cs or cut and
sifted)
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. anise seed crushed or powder
1/2 tsp dried passon flower (be sure to use one purchased from
an herbal company as I've been told there are passion flowers growing in
areas that are not the same as the
ones used for teas)
1 cup boiling water
Steep for 10 minutes. Strain if needed, and drink hot.
Here is the best part...GO TO BED!
If you drink this during the day, I'm sure it will help you
relax. However, I like it in the evening when I've had a very busy,
hectic day and can't seem to wind down. What a relief!!!
Enjoy,
Kathie
